My summer was uneventful in terms of excitement. Although the summer was quite tame, I did have one exciting misadventure. I took a trip to Columbus.
After a three hour drive on the highway, we arrived at a park in Franklin County. The last time I was here, I was maybe nine years old, but I remember it like I was there yesterday.
Since I was born in Columbus, I have a special connection with it. This is my hometown. I grew up here for a majority of my life, and I missed it. I wish I could move back one day, but for now, life goes on.
I saw my grandma and aunt for the first time in about a year. It was a fun reunion, but a downpour was brought down upon us, and we had to leave a bit earlier then previously expected for our grandmother's home. We stayed there for a few more hours, then decided to leave. The highlight of the trip was being able to have White Castle on the way back up here.
This was the biggest thing that happened this summer, and I am happy that it did happen.
Alex, good to see that you made it out of Lorain County!
ReplyDeleteBe sure to give some solid and clear details... I'm still not sure what you did down there.
Also, be careful... "It was a fun reunion, but a downpour was brought down upon us, and we had to leave a bit earlier then previously expected for our grandmother's home" contains one too many comma FANBOYS, which makes it a run-on.
